The Active City project is an open way to fulfil my dreams and work aspirations. All the initiatives that I've been taking have brought me a lot of satisfaction and an opportunity of ceaseless development They've motivated me to take up such a challenge as AC project, considering that 'if better is possible than good is not enough'.

Why AC? Hmm... my motivation and engagement expresses the lyrics of one of Staszek Sojka's song:
[...] Życie, nie tylko po to jest by brać,
Życie, nie po to by bezczynnie trwać,
I, aby żyć z siebie samego trzeba dać!

And to live you have to give a part of yourself!)
I'm a student of the last year of political science. My work with non-governmental organisations has started during a conference that created COMPERIO association: A centre for Co-operation between Cultures. This conference made me look at the third sector from a different point of view, from a view of the people acting with passion, true engagement and a strong belief in meaning of their actions. I was impressed. Since then I've been in contact with The Responsible Business Forum taking part in organising an international conference. I've finished courses in acquiring European funds; projects' budgeting and writing business plans for small and middle business.

My passions are mountains, climbing and travelling. I like sharing with others all that makes the blood run faster and the world becomes a whole and full of harmony.
I've graduated in IT at the Gdańsk University of Technology.I'm a member of Klub Wysokogórski Trójmiasto (Mountaineering Club) and Akademicki Klub Wspinaczkowy przy Politechnice Gdańskiej (Gdańsk University of Technology Academic Mountaineering Club) (I' m its founder member and have also been its chairmen throuhg two terms). I've climbed for six years, all the time developing my abilities and knowledge in the field.

I'm an ex-scout, mini-traveller, first aid worker, amateur artist, a beginner in psychology. I write, paint, photograph, travel, and ride a horse. In my live I've been mostly an adventurer and a vagabond. I walk, watch, taste and most of the time I'm smiling. I like talking to strangers, coming up to children on a tram, stroking somebody else's dogs.
I work with mentally disabled children and also -voluntarily- with youth in an after -school recreation centre 'Mrowiska' ('Anthill'). At my work I learn every day humility, honesty and simplicity all the time trying to share my engagement, joy of life and a belief in this a little bit complicated World.
Active City is for me the best way of combining passion with work. I hope that in spite of obstinate belief of pessimists it will become a real confirmation that people of different point of views, backgrounds and age can communicate, learn from each other and at the same time have a great time of that/it.
